On April 25th 2017, Empower had the honour of attending the Unilever Future Leaders Development Programme that took place at the University of Dar Es Salaam. The main agenda for this programme was to touch on and discuss the key competencies and habits of successful leadership – in other words tips on how to be an effective leader.
Our MD, Miranda Naiman shared a combination of theoretical knowledge and personal examples expressing her leadership journey; from humble beginnings to challenges and tactics used to get where she is today.
At the end of the talk, there was a Q & A session, allowing the graduates to address and probe on the topic of discussion and learn more from Miranda. One lucky student even won a prize for asking the most interesting question. We look forward to coming back to UDSM and hope to visit more universities across the country this year.

“Empower workshops are inspirational. They are clear, concise and rooted in common sense, with a touch of human psychology. I’ve heard nothing but great feedback about the courses. Our People feel it is a good investment."
